Milk Carton House

CTMH Supplies:

Z1739 Milk Carton with Clip
CTMH Cricut© cartridges:  Artiste and Art Philosophy
BT Paper from Claire paper pack (4 pieces: 3"x3")
Cardstock:  Chocolate, Colonial White, Topiary
Stamp Sets: G1416 Keyboard Uppercase Alphabet, D1409 Flower Pot, D1377 Around the Block
Ink: Chocolate
Alcohol Markers: Blending Marker, 2 Cranberry, 2 Sorbet, 2 Topiary, Indian Corn Blue, 2 Outdoor Denim
Sponges
2 Small Brads

Directions:

*Assemble CTMH Milk Carton
*Stamp doors, windows, and flower boxes in Chocolate ink on Colonial White cardstock.  Also stamp the numbers for the street address.  Set aside to dry.  Waiting will help prevent smearing when you use the alcohol markers.
*Sponge edges of the milk carton with Chocolate ink.
*Sponge the edges of the BT paper with Chocolate ink.
*Adhere the BT paper.  If there is a gap at the bottom, that is fine because the grass will cover it.
*Cut the 15 shingles out of Chocolate cardstock. (Art Philosophy Cricut© cartridge: p. 64, 3/4",  Font, Shift-Lock, Rectangle3/Arrow2 key)
*Cut the 4 strips of grass out of the Topiary cardstock. (Artiste Cricut© cartridge: p. 73, 1/2", Accent3, Shift-Lock, Spring/Easter key)
*Layer the shingles in staggered rows.  (5 rows to each side) Trim off excess.
*Use the template to cut the shingles for the front and back of the roof. (3 rows of shingles for each) Then adhere the shingles.
*Use a small scrap piece of Chocolate cardstock (1 1/4"x3") across the top of the roof.  Score it in the middle (long-ways) and place the clip on top to hold the carton closed.
*Adhere the grass around the house.
*Color the stamped images with the alcohol markers.
*Cut out the images.  Use the small brads as doorknobs for the front and back doors.
*Adhere the windows and doors to the milk carton house.
*Cut out the numbers for the house address and adhere them above the front door.
