5 Cards in 10 Minutes

I taught a card class at the Michindoh Crop this weekend.  Hopefully some stampers have been inspired with an assembly-line type of card that can be created just in time for Christmas! 

5 Cards in 10 Minutes
Featuring CTMH Frosted paper

You will need:
·         Cutter
·         Adhesive
·         Pop Dots

Supplies available at the workshop:
·         CTMH Stamp Pads:
o   Olive
o   Ruby
o   Twilight
o   Crystal Blue
·         CTMH Stamp Sets:
o   D1562: Frosted Cardmaking WOTG stamp set
o   D1573: Frosted Scrapbooking WOTG stamp set
o   B1424: Classic Doily
·         Large Circle Punch
·         Cricut-cut pieces were made using CTMH Artiste cartridge

Supplies in your kit: (5 of each item listed)
·         A2 Cards
·         Olive and Ruby cardstock bases:  4” x 5 ½”
·         Twilight snowflakes:  Artiste 2” / Accent 1 – Shift Lock – Noel Button (p. 79)
·         Crystal Blue snowflakes:  Artiste ¾” / Accent 1 – Shift Lock – Noel Button (p. 79)
·         Colonial White snowflakes:  Artiste 1 ¼” / Accent 1 – Noel Button (p. 79)
·         Small Brads
·         Frosted Champagne B&T: 3 5/8” x 5 1/8
·         Frosted Blue Snowflake B&T: 1 ½” x 3 ¾”
·         Colonial White cardstock:  1 1/8” x 1 ¾”

Directions:
  • ·         Fold and trim 5 cards to 3 ¾” x 5 ¼”
  • ·         Center and punch circle at the top of the front panel of each card
  • ·         Stamp Classic Doily (B1424) in Crystal Blue centered at the top of the Frosted Champagne B&T pieces (make sure you have 2 scallops centered at the top when you stamp against the top edge of the paper)
  • ·         Adhere the stamped Frosted Champagne B&T inside each card with the snowflake centered and showing through the hole from the circle punch
  • ·         Center and mount each card onto an Olive or Ruby cardstock base
  • ·         Adhere the Frosted Blue Snowflake B&T that is 1 ½” x 3 ¾” to the front of the card under the punched circle
  • ·         Stamp the 1 ¼” Colonial White snowflake with the coordinating stamp from the Frosted Scrapbooking WOTG stamp set (D1573)
  • ·         Stamp the inside of each card with the sentiment “Have a Holly Jolly Christmas” from Frosted Cardmaking WOTG (D1562) with the coordinating stamp pad (Olive or Ruby—whichever is the base of the card)
  • ·         Stamp the Colonial White cardstock that is  1 1/8” x 1 ¾” with the sentiment “Peace and Joy”  from Frosted Cardmaking WOTG (D1562)  with the coordinating stamp pad (Olive or Ruby)
  • ·         Center and adhere the “Peace and Joy” piece on the Frosted Blue B&T on the front of the card
  • ·         Punch a brad through the Crystal Blue snowflake, then the Colonial White snowflake, and finally the Twilight snowflake- then spread the back of the brad to hold the pieces securely
  • ·         Pop-dot the layered snowflakes centered inside each circle window

Carrie Evans certainly knows how to orchestrate an awesome CTMH crop!  I had a blast this weekend.  She had great Make-and-Takes each day and an Early Bird Layout.  Here are my items that she had for use to make this weekend.
